Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeries

The face is a delicate balance of beauty, function, and structure. When this harmony is disrupted due to injury, disease, or developmental concerns, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) plays a vital role in restoring it.

At “the elements”, our team of experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons combine surgical precision, advanced technology, and aesthetic insight to deliver world-class care for conditions affecting the Jaws, mouth, and Facial region.

We provide a comprehensive range of surgical procedures — from routine extractions to complex facial reconstructions — all in a safe, sterile, and compassionate environment.

What is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery?

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialized branch of dentistry that bridges medicine and dentistry, focusing on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of conditions involving the mouth, jaws, face, and neck.

Our goal is to restore function, aesthetics, and confidence — whether through corrective, reconstructive, or cosmetic surgical procedures.

What are our Surgical Expertise?

  • Wisdom Tooth (Third Molar) Extractions

Impacted or partially erupted wisdom teeth can cause pain, swelling, and infections. Our surgeons perform painless, minimally invasive extractions using advanced instruments like piezo surgery under local or general anesthesia for a smooth, comfortable experience.

  • Minor Oral Surgical Procedures

From tooth extractions to biopsies and apicoectomies, our clinic is equipped to handle all forms of minor oral surgeries with precision and care.

  • Dental Implant Surgery

We specialize in the surgical placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth.

From single implants to All-on-4/All-on-6 full-arch rehabilitations, our precision-guided implant techniques ensure stability, aesthetics, and long-term success.

  • Jaw Bone Grafting & Sinus Lift Procedures

When the jawbone is insufficient to support implants, we perform bone grafting or sinus lift surgeries to rebuild lost bone and prepare a strong foundation for future restorations.

  • Orthognathic (Jaw Alignment) Surgery

For patients with jaw discrepancies affecting their bite, appearance, or speech, orthognathic surgery realigns the jaws for improved function and facial balance.

These procedures are often done in collaboration with orthodontic treatment for optimal results.

  • Facial Trauma Surgery

Accidents or injuries can lead to fractures of the jaw or facial bones.

Our specialists are trained in facial trauma reconstruction, restoring both form and function using advanced plating systems and meticulous surgical techniques.

  • Cyst & Tumor Removal / Pathologic Lesion Management

We offer surgical management for jaw cysts, benign tumors, and oral pathologies, ensuring complete removal and preservation of healthy surrounding structures.

  • Pre-Prosthetic and Corrective Surgeries

Before placing dentures or implants, minor surgical procedures like ridge correction, alveoloplasty, or frenectomy may be needed to create an ideal foundation for prosthetic success.–

  • TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Surgery

Chronic jaw pain, clicking, or limited movement may indicate TMJ disorders.

We offer both non-surgical and surgical TMJ management, tailored to restore comfort and normal jaw function.

  • Facial Aesthetic & Reconstructive Procedures

Our surgeons also perform facial aesthetic enhancements, including chin and jaw contouring, facial scar revision, and post-traumatic or congenital deformity correction thereby harmonizing facial features while preserving natural expression.

Is oral and maxillofacial surgery painful?

Most oral and maxillofacial procedures are performed under local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of the case. So intra operatively, that means during the surgery, there is absolutely no pain due to the anesthesia.

Post surgical pain and discomfort depends on the invasiveness of the surgical procedure.                         The postoperative pain or discomfort after minor Oral surgical procedure can be easily managed by prescribed medications. After major oral and maxillofacial surgeries, patients are usually given pain medications through IV route to manage pain and swelling.

How long does it take to recover from oral surgery?

Recovery time varies with the type of surgery performed:

  • Minor procedures (like tooth extractions or biopsies) — usually 2–3 days.
  • Implant placement or bone grafts — about 7–10 days for initial healing.
  • Major reconstructive or orthognathic surgeries — 2–4 weeks for visible recovery, with continued healing over a few months.

Our team provides detailed post-operative instructions and close follow-up to ensure smooth, complication-free recovery.

Are oral surgeries safe?

Absolutely. Every procedure is performed under strict sterilization and international safety protocols.

Our facility is equipped with advanced monitoring systems, and all surgeries are carried out by qualified, experienced specialists.

Patient safety is at the heart of everything we do.

What post-surgery care should I follow?

After your procedure, our specialists will guide you through the various post operative care like:

  • A soft diet for a few days
  • Oral hygiene instructions to prevent infection
  • Medication schedules for pain and healing
  • Follow-up appointments for review and suture removal (if needed)

With proper care, healing is usually smooth and predictable.

When should one see an Oral and maxillofacial surgeon?

You should consult a specialist if you experience:

  • Jaw pain or clicking sounds
  • Facial injury or fracture
  • Impacted or infected wisdom teeth
  • Missing teeth requiring implants
  • Jaw misalignment or bite problems
  • Cysts, growths, or lesions in the mouth
